Once you’ve photographed all of your items, you’re ready to mix and match as you please! The app makes it really easy to put outfits together and it certainly makes shopping easier when you virtually have your closet in your hand!

So go ahead and be like Cher from Clueless (I know you remember her awesome touch screen closet) and download the app from iTunes so you could bring your own closet into the 21st century!

Hear the Runway is an organization that was founded by Dr. Leslie D. Walker who is an educational audiologist that works with deaf and hearing-impaired teens in Florida. After years of working with these kids, Dr. Walker noticed that self-esteem was low in her patients. So naturally she wanted to help them in some way and what better way to give someone self-esteem and confidence than with fashion? And that’s how Hear the Runway was born!

It all started with a one-time runway show featuring Dr. Walker’s patients as the models. But the organization started catching some buzz and of course the students loved being a part of it all! This all has turned Hear the Runway into an organization whose ultimate goal is “to increase the self-esteem, self-worth, and self-image of teens who are deaf and hard of hearing, which will provide them with the strength and motivation they may need to lead productive lives after high school.” And of course there will be an annual runway show from now on!

All I have to say is ‘kudos!’ to Dr. Walker for creating such a great organization that will help so many teens!

Azealia’s style is killer right now and her music, although a little vulgar, is the perfect music to get a party started! Seeing her in a custom made Alexander Wang gown would top the night off for me, but if she performs there’s a slight chance I will faint!

Okay so now let’s move on to the best part… the beautiful collection. The entire collection was based on all chic and comfortable clothing with fun polka dot prints and beautiful red Spring color accents.  It felt like 5th avenue in the Spring all over again and nobody could resist that!  The faces of excitement and curiosity towards the garments were epic and irresistible to capture.

Everyone enjoyed the collection and couldn’t stop saying how beautiful, exciting, comfortable and original it was.  One lovely new client even stated how it brought her back and it made her feel young and beautiful.  So thanks Kal for creating a collection all women can enjoy and feel beautiful in!

The “glass slipper” will be Christian’s own interpretation, which literally gives me anxiety, the fact we have to wait until fall to see this beauty, and no we can’t just click our heels and make time fly by (I already tried), so we will have to be nice ladies and wait patiently for this magical moment to happen.

On a happier note, at least with these glass shoes we can still all be princesses after midnight, however I do not guarantee the happily ever after part, we’re New Yorkers for god sakes! It’s only right to quote; Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo fashionista’s and stay tuned for the preview of this work of art.

Share Your Lion’esque Style!

Her fun and over the top personality has helped her land her own reality TV show! And she won’t be alone; her daughter Lulu Johnson will join her in her fun antics that we will now all be allowed to witness and be a part of. The show will be simply titled Betsey + Lulu and will air later this year in the Style Network.

We seriously cannot wait!

Okay, so onto the really juicy stuff, as I was saying our favorite sneaker brand Vans and of course the great designer Kenzo have joined forces to bring us comfort, style, and fun to our spring/summer sneaker (it’s amazing, I know). These babies look like candy on your feet, with all the fun bright colors and patterns, it just makes you want to stare really hard and own a pair! Kal Rieman is a designer that makes me envy every girl because they get the opportunity to wear her stuff! A Cleveland native, designer Cally Rieman took an unusual route to get to wear she is today. Graduating with a degree in East Asian Studies and Political Science, her interest in fashion developed while on a study program in Taiwan where she taught English to the owner of a textile manufacturing and marketing company. Cut to 2009, and many years of fashion design school and working for other designers, Cally created her own designer label, Kal Rieman.

Her collection reminds me of some of fashion’s biggest designers right now. The collection has sophistication similar to that of Jil Sander and Celine, edginess like Yigal Azroüel, with a hint of romance like Lanvin. Complete fashion overload! Her collection consists of amazingly tailored separates and overcoats, washed silks and draped knits. This collection is perfect for that tough woman who still wants to keep her femininity.

Her first pop-up shop will be opening in May and I literally can’t wait to see this collection in person, and I expect to see all of you there too! Here are some images of her current collection and a sneak peak of whats to come.
